Lotus Wei was created by Katie Hess though her quest to help people experience more happiness and accelerate personal growth. In her search, she studied many different kinds of natural medicine and discovered flower essences – and the powerful affect they have on emotions, attitudes, and life situations. Realizing the power of this significant agent of change, she trained internationally with a top flower essence practitioner, and was soon combining remedies for people. At this time she also met several meditation masters from the Far East and committed herself to daily meditation practice, which deepened her understanding of nature, flower essences, and life in general.
Katie worked in one-on-one consultations and flower essence therapy. Since she could only reach a limited number of people, she decided to create a line of elixirs consisting of combinations of several flower essences regularly used and requested by her clients. The flower essences are collected from diverse environments including forests, deserts, wetlands, and tropical regions. Their essential oils come from all over the world, sourced from organic, wild-crafted and ethically-harvested sources.
In our July Yuzen box, we featured 3 Lotus Wei Mists: Joy Juice, Infinite Love and Quiet Mind. Katie says the mists target the three senses: smell (essential oils), touch (feeling the water on your face), and the sixth sense (or state of mind). We are in love with these mists! We find them truly effective – and an opportunity to pause, check-in, and decide what state you want to live in at that moment.

From the Lotus Wei website: What is a Flower Remedy?
Flower remedy elixirs are an aqueous solution that when taken internally or applied on the body and works through the acupuncture meridian system. The science behind it is called sympathetic resonance: when you have two tuning forks of the same key and strike one of them, the other tuning fork starts to buzz even though it’s not touching the vibrating one. This is because the invisible sound waves expand out, causing the second fork to vibrate in resonance.
The same happens with flowers. They are emanating waves that cannot be seen with the naked eye, but that strike a chord within us and as we re-balance our bodies and minds we experience more clarity, happiness, and peacefulness. When people find this hard to believe, I ask them how a cell phone works. We don’t question a cell phone, because we hear the voice on the other end. The waves emanate from the phone and send information through space. So we see this on many levels in technology. The difference is that what the flowers and plants has profound health benefits.
Lotus Wei also has a sister company, Wei of Chocolate. Owner, Lisa Reinhardt, infuses flower essences into delicious organic dark chocolate.
